Reading is cool! Dr. Seuss Read Across America Day fosters that. I'm excited to read at Northridge Elementary and my husband at Natomas Park to name a few spots.

I fondly remember story hour at the library growing up. When I was a teen reading kept the windows to my world open when I was sidelined with reconstructive knee surgeries and missed months of school. I could still ":explore" with books.

As an adult reading is a passion I share with my kids and I hope younger kids will learn reading is cool and better than plugging in. With reading you can imagine your own characters!
