Natomas Unified Posts 10-Point Gain on State’s Academic Performance Index

Sacramento, California – The Natomas Unified School District posted a 10-point gain overall on the state’s Academic Performance Index (API) based on student performance on the 2012 California Standards Test (CST) results released in August. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson visited Natomas Park Elementary School Thursday to announce last year’s statewide API results. Natomas Park Elementary is Natomas Unified’s most recent school to pass the state target of an 800 API score.

“We are pleased to see continued growth district-wide,” said NUSD Superintendent Chris Evans. “We take great pride in the sustained improvement over the years but also commit to continue to work hard to meet the needs of all students.”
