RIO LINDA, CA - A dark-colored, large Ford truck missing a right front-side mirror and likely with right front-side damage is being sought in the hit and run of two teenage boys on Dry Creek Road Thursday evening.

The boys, one on a skateboard and the other on a bike, were on the east side of Dry Creek Road , going southbound in the bike lane and just north of Elkhorn Boulevard when they were struck at about 10:22 p.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Lizz Dutton.

She said both boys were transported to Mercy San Juan Hospital with major injuries.

Witnesses told officers the truck was traveling on northbound Dry Creek Road when it went into the bike lane, striking the boys. The driver didn't stop.

Dutton said the truck could have damage to its right headlight, grill and hood.

Anyone who can help with information about the truck was urged to call the CHP's North Sacramento office at (916) 338-6710.
