Del Paso Heights apartment complex damaged in fire | News

SACRAMENTO - An apartment complex on the 2700 block of Oakmont St. in the Del Paso Heights area of Sacramento was damaged in a fire Wednesday morning.

Sacramento firefighters responded to the building around 11:30 a.m. and found a heavy fire in a storage area on the first floor that threatened to spread to the second, said Battalion Chief Richard Payan.

Crews were able to contain the fire to the storage area and extinguished the fire before any further damage was incurred, Payan said.

Payan termed the overall damage "minimal" and did not mention any injuries stemming from the fire.
