WEEKLY CHALLENGE: Stretch! It will do your body good!

WEEKLY CHALLENGE: Stretch! It will do your body good!

2013 Weekly Challenge #15: Stretch!

Taking care of your body is an essential part of any exercise program. And yet it is one of the things we are most likely to skip. Everyone knows they should stretch before and/or after exercise, and that it is a good habit to have just as a part of daily living. But really...how often do YOU do it?

Stretching keeps you flexible, prepares your muscles for exercise and helps your body heal after a tough workout. Besides being good for you, it has the extra benefit of feeling GOOD (usually).

Don't know how to start?

Sacramento has talent

It's common knowledge that Sacramento has the State Capitol within our city boundaries. We also have a former NBA star as our mayor, the California State Fair, the greatest train museum in our country and more trees per capita than any other city in the world. But did you also know that Sacramento has talent?

Please join Access Sacramento at The Crest Theatre on Thursday, April 4, 2013, 7:00PM to 9 PM for... Sacramento Has Talent.

Our talent scouts have searched the region looking for local talent. We have discovered the best performers, singers, dancers, filmmakers, & musical groups who will compete for your entertainment and cash prizes. And wait until you meet our local media judges - Mark S. Allen (KOVR/KMAX "Mark at the Movies"), Richard Lewis (CA Musical Theater) and Mellisa Paul (KXTV News10/ "Sac & Co") - way more entertaining than Howie, Sharon & Howard!

Sacramento Regional Science & Engineering Fair

Join News10 and Sac & Co as we celebrate The Annual Sacramento Regional Science & Engineering Fair on March 9th! Hundreds of creative students from throughout the Sacramento region will compete in the Fair at Rosemont High School in Sacramento.

Each year, the Sacramento Regional Science & Engineering Fair produces winners that go on to shine on the international stage.  In 2012, our Grand Prize winner placed first in Energy and Transportation at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair, which draws more than 1,600 students from 59 countries.
