Marysville teacher wins Teacher of the Year Award | Fun

SACRAMENTO - News10's Teacher of the Year Award was handing out on June 7.

Tim Dant was the teacher who received the award on Thursday's celebration.

The event honors twelve teacher who went above and beyond to motivate and inspire student.

Dant has spent the last 15 years at Linda Elementary School in Marysville.

"You're a counselor, you're a friend, and you're a helper. You provide a safe place. They get a meal when they come there. You feel like you're really doing something to help them in their life. And that's what I really try to do is let them know that they can really make a difference in their life," said Dant.
