Suspected Carmichael child predator arrested | Crime

CARMICHAEL, CA - A man suspected of breaking into Carmichael homes and confronting children in the middle of the night, is now in custody according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

Deputy Jason Ramos said the man entered homes on Mission Avenue, between Whitney Avenue and Marconi Avenue. After confronting the children in the home, the man flees on foot.

Ramos did not clarify how the man is "confronting children" because it is an ongoing investigation.

The man was arrested near Mission Avenue where the incidents occured, said Ramos.

The man was seen in surveillance photos several times during the past week he was last seen early morning Aug. 4.
