Police: Same van seen at 4 Sacramento robberies | Crime
SACRAMENTO, CA - A white Dodge Caravan seen at four crimes as well as similar descriptions of robbers have Sacramento detectives thinking four recent burglary/robberies may have been committed by the same individuals.
The minivan is stolen. Its California license plate was 4PTF462 but police think is has most likely been replaced. More recently, it was seen with the partial California license plate 6M_ _ _21, said Officer Michele Gigante.
The most recent crime was an assault on a woman as she walked to her car. Her purse was taken. That was on July 13 near Stockton Boulevard and 47th Avenue at approximately 11 a.m., Gigante said.
The previous crimes were the theft of five 42-inch flat screen TVs and loaded into a minivan at a business near Truxel Road and Interstate 80 on June 29 at approximately 4:10 p.m.
On June 28, there were two strong-arm robberies at fireworks stands committed within minutes of each other in the same area. The first robbery was near 65th Street and 14th Avenue at 3:19 p.m. The second was reported about three minutes later at a stand near 65th Street and Fruitridge Road.
Victims described the perpetrators as three or four black men, ages 18 to 25. They ranged in height from 5 feet 6 inches to 6 feet tall. They weighed from 170 to 220 pounds. One was remembered as having a shaved head and another, whose security camera image accompanies this story, wore his hair in short dreadlocks.
