Natomas schools need your vote!

"Several schools in Natomas are competing for Raley's Reach grants.

This year, the fundraiser sponsored by Raley's Family of Fine Stores is giving away $50,000 in grants to improve local schools.

Proposed projects with the most votes within their region can win $10,000 each - twice the amount of last year's grants."

And the "Patriotic Treats" contest winner is...

Thank you to the 14 people who entered the News 10 My Neighborhood "Patriotic Treats" contest, who showcased their creativity and culinary skills by creating edible patriotic pieces of art.

The photo entries were showcased on News 10 My Neighborhood Central Stockton's Facebook page. The winner is Allison Echeveria with 89 "likes" for her patriotic cake. She wins a $50 gift certificate to College Bakery, located at 5308 Pacific Avenue # 11C in Stockton, Calif.

My Neighborhood “Patriotic Treats” Contest

Have fun with your food and enter News 10 My Neighborhood's Patriotic Treats contest. Email photos of your homemade culinary creations from Independence Day with a patriotic theme to writer@news10.net. Voting will begin and photos will be posted on My Neighborhood Central Stockton's Facebook page on Friday, July 6 at 8 a.m.  The photo with the most "likes" by 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 12 will win a $50 gift certificate to College Bakery, 5308 Pacific Avenue #11C in Stockton. Make sure to vote for your favorite!

Photos will be posted as received. Deadline to submit a photo will be Wednesday, July 11 at 1 p.m. Remember, the sooner the photo is received, the sooner people can begin voting. Only one photo submission per household accepted.
