SACRAMENTO - The Sacramento and Sierra Foothills Storytelling regions are calling all tellers and story lovers to Sacramento's first annual storytelling festival: SPRING INTO STORIES.

The first of two story concerts on the day for children and their families begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 21 at Carol's Books. Carol's is located at 1913 Del Paso Blvd Sacramento 95815.

Featured throughout the day will be:

  • Uplifting cultural music, costumes and dance by youth groups from cultures like Polynesia and West Africa.
  • Poets
  • A judged story slam
  • A liar's contest
  • Open telling
  • And much more!

At 7 p.m. the activities move indoors for the evening story concert with six featured tellers.

Bring friends of all ages for a fun-filled day of entertainment!
