Museum lovers will enjoy visiting two of downtown Sacramento’s most popular visitor attractions at a discounted admission price.  And, with lots of shops and dining options, museum visitors are encouraged to take a leisurely stroll through Old Sacramento when walking the short distance from one museum to the other.

Currently on display at the Crocker Art Museum, the “American Chronicles: The Art of Norman Rockwell” exhibition celebrates the full range of Norman Rockwell's artwork, including rarely circulated works from the collection of the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Included in the presentation are original oil paintings of some of his most famous illustrations, drawings, war bond posters, and numerous covers that Rockwell created for The Saturday Evening Post over nearly five decades.

Widely regarded as North America’s most popular railroad museum, the renowned California State Railroad Museum showcases 21 meticulously restored locomotives and cars on display along with numerous exhibits that illustrate how railroads have shaped people's lives, the economy, and the unique culture of California and the West.
